REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    *A for LHD without Rear Fog Light or RHD
    *B for LHD with Rear Fog Light
    *a

    Component without harness connected

    (Rear Light Assembly LH)

    1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly LH and check that the lights illuminate.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B/U)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Back-up light illuminates*1

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Taillight illuminates

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Fog light illuminates*2

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Stop light illuminates

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (B)

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (TRN4)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      • *1: for LHD without Rear Fog Light or RHD

      • *2: for LHD with Rear Fog Light

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear light assembly RH and check that the lights illuminate.

      OK

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B/U)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Back-up light illuminates*1

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Taillight illuminates

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Fog light illuminates*2

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (B)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Stop light illuminates

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (B)

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (TRN4)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (E)

      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      • *1: for RHD without Rear Fog Light or LHD

      • *2: for RHD with Rear Fog Light

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light assembly RH.
