DESCRIPTION

The power management control ECU controls the back-up lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.

      DTCs are not output.

    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the 1G and 1H No. 1 integration relay connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connector Condition Specified Condition
      1H-7 (BATT) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      1G-14 (IG1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      1G-22 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      1H-3 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the A19 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1G-13 (BKUP) - A19-15 (BL) Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-13 (BKUP) or A19-15 (BL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the V16 rear light assembly LH connector.*1

    2. Disconnect the V15 rear light assembly RH connector.*2


      • *1: for LHD without Rear Fog Light or RHD

      • *2: for RHD without Rear Fog Light or LHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1G-3 (BCK1) - V16-1 (B/U)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 (BCK1) - V15-1 (B/U)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 (BCK1) or V16-1 (B/U) - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 (BCK1) or V15-1 (B/U) - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      • *1: for LHD without Rear Fog Light or RHD

      • *2: for RHD without Rear Fog Light or LHD

  5. REPLACE NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY


    1. Replace the No. 1 integration relay with a new or a known good one.
