LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

    3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    4. Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.

    5. Uncover the automatic light control sensor.

    6. Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.

  2. LIGHT AUTO TURN OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for European Models and South Africa)


    1. When the light control switch is in the tail or head position


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the low beam headlights, high beam headlights, taillights, front fog lights and rear fog light on.

      3. Turn the power switch off.

      4. Check that the low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights turn off immediately.

        Tech Tips

        The taillights and rear fog light will remain on.

    2. When the light control switch is in the AUTO position


      1. Close the driver door.

      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights, front fog lights and rear fog light on by covering the automatic light control sensor.

      4. Turn the power switch off.

      5. Check that all of the exterior lights turn off immediately.

  3. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (except European Models and South Africa)


    1. Close all the doors.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the low beam headlights, high beam headlights, taillights, front fog lights and rear fog light on.

    4. Turn the power switch off.

    5. Open the driver door.

    6. Check that all of the exterior lights turn off immediately.

  4. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position (Make sure the taillights are not turned on by the automatic light control system).

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Release the parking brake.

    4. Check that the daytime running lights (high intensity parking lights) come on.

  5. WELCOME LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONTROL OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

    2. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    3. Turn the power switch off.

    4. Close and lock all doors.

    5. Unlock all doors by a wireless door unlock or entry door unlock operation.

    6. Check that the taillights, parking lights (low intensity parking lights), license plate lights and interior lights (switch illumination, etc.) come on for approximately 15 seconds.

  6. FOLLOW ME HOME CONTROL OPERATION CHECK (w/ Follow Me Home Control)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Turn the light control switch to the off or AUTO position.

    3. Pull the light control switch to flash the headlights once.

    4. Check that the low beam headlights, taillights, parking lights (low intensity parking lights), license plate lights and interior lights (switch illumination, etc.) come on for approximately 30 seconds.

  7. DOOR MIRROR FOOT LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. The operations and conditions of this system are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When either of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out:


      • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the power switch is off and all doors are closed.*1

      • Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off, and all doors are closed and locked.
      Fade out immediately

      When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade out immediately:


      • All doors are locked when the power switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

      • All doors are locked again when all doors are closed and locked.

      • The power switch is on (IG).

      Tech Tips

      *1: When the lights are on, if the key leaves the actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the door mirror foot lights fade out.
