PROCEDURE


  1. CUSTOMIZE LIGHTING SYSTEM (EXT)

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.

    Tech Tips

    The following items can be customized.


    1. Customizing with the GTS


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Illuminated Entry or Light Control.

      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Mirr-Foot-Lgt Approached/Exterior Light Approached ON Illuminates the door mirror foot lights when a key enters any actuation area around the doors. OFF or ON Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Mirr-Foot-Lgt Unlocked/Exterior Light Unlocked ON Illuminates the door mirror foot lights when the doors are unlocked using a mechanical key or door control transmitter. OFF or ON Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Mirror Foot Light Time/Exterior Light Time 15 s Changes the lighting time of the door mirror foot lights. 15 s, 7.5 s, 0 s* or 30 s Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Exterior Light Control ON Changes the door mirror foot light control. OFF or ON Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)

        • *: Even if "0 s" is selected, it cannot be set.

        Disp Ex OFF Sen NORMAL Changes the ambient brightness level required to cancel the dimming of the lights such as the indicator lights of the combination meter assembly, A/C indicator light and clock. NORMAL, DARK2, DARK1, LIGHT1 or LIGHT2 Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Light Auto OFF Delay*2 30 s Keeps the headlights on for a certain period of time after turning the power switch off and closing all doors with the low beam headlights on. OFF, 30 s, 60 s or 90 s Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Sensitivity Normal Adjusts the sensitivity of the automatic light control system. Normal, Dark2, Dark1, Light1 or Light2 Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        DRL Function*3 ON Turns the DRL function on/off. OFF or ON Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Lane CHG Flash CNT 3 times Changes the lane change flashing times. OFF, 3 times, 5 times, 7 times, 9 times or 11 times Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Follow Me Home Lighting Time*4 30 s Sets the headlight lighting time after the power switch is turned off. 30 s, 60 s, 90 s or 120 s Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)
        Light up Clearance Lights at Door Unlock Function ON Turns on the clearance lights and the taillights for 15 seconds when the doors are unlocked by the smart key or the wireless key. OFF or ON Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)

    2. Customizing with the multi-display (w/ Multi-display)


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle customization / Light settings.

      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Light settings

        Light sensor sensitivity 0 Adjusts the sensitivity of the automatic light control system.*1 -2, -1, 0, +1 or +2 Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)

    3. Customizing with the combination meter assembly (for Monochrome Type)

      Tech Tips


      • Press and hold DISP (steering pad switch) when entering an item.

      • Briefly press DISP (steering pad switch) when selecting an item.


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Enter the following menus: SETTINGS / VEHICLE SETTINGS.

      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
