WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the H85 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      H85-1 (IG+) - H85-14 (GND) B - W-B Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      H85-1 (IG+) - H85-14 (GND) B - W-B Power source (IG) Power switch off Below 1 V
      H85-21 (B) - H85-14 (GND) Y - W-B Power source (Back-up) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H85-14 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the H85 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      • Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch off*1

      • Power switch on (IG), front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) off*2

      		 11 to 14 V
      H85-39 (HRLY) - H85-14 (GND) R - W-B Windshield deicer signal

      • Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch on*1

      • Power switch on (IG), front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) on*2

      		 Below 2 V
      H86-22 (SWL2) - H85-14 (GND)*2 B - W-B Front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) indicator signal Power switch on (IG), front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) off 11 to 14 V
      H86-22 (SWL2) - H85-14 (GND)*2 B - W-B Front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) indicator signal Power switch on (IG), front wiper deicer switch (outer mirror heater switch assembly) on Below 1 V

      • If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning amplifier assembly may have a malfunction.
