REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

  5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

    Click here

  7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

  9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE (for RH Side)

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

  12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

  29. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  30. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  31. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY

  33. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

        *1 Pretensioner Connector
        *2 Protective Tape

        Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Loosen the bolt <A> and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

    3. Remove the bolt <B>, bolt <C> and rear seat outer belt assembly.
