  1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


    1. Driver seat belt warning light:

      When the driver seat belt is not fastened with the power switch on (IG), the seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks.

    2. Front passenger seat belt warning light:

      When the front passenger seat belt is not fastened with the power switch on (IG), the front passenger seat occupied and driver seat belt fastened, the seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks.

    3. Rear seat belt warning (w/ Rear Seat Belt Warning):

      When the rear seat belt is not fastened after the rear door is opened and closed with the power switch on (IG), the rear seat belt warning light on the combination switch assembly illuminates.

    4. Seat belt warning buzzer:

      After turning the power switch on (IG), if the driver seat belt is not fastened within 1.8 seconds, check that the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at 1.2 second intervals for 6 seconds.*1

      When the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12 mph) while the driver or front passenger seat belt is not fastened, or the rear seat belt is fastened and then later unfastened*2, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 9.6*1 or 30*2 seconds. After that, the buzzer sounds at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 20*1 or 90*2 seconds.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Function
    Front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) Informs the airbag sensor assembly of the driver seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Front seat inner belt assembly (for front passenger) Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Occupant detection sensor (separate type front seat cushion pad) Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger seat condition (occupied or unoccupied).
    Rear seat inner belt assembly LH/Center/RH* Informs the combination meter assembly of each rear seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH/RH* Informs the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) of the rear door condition (open or closed).
    Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)* Sends the rear door courtesy light switch signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
