FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the connectors under the front seat assembly.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    4. Temporarily install the front front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    5. Operate the slide and vertical power switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    6. B001M0RE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    7. Operate the slide and vertical power switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    8. B001N4KE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear inner front seat track bracket cover.

  3. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear outer front seat track bracket cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Operate the slide and vertical power switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    2. Operate the slide and vertical power switch knob and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front outer front seat track bracket cover.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the front seat assembly operation.

      w/o Position Memory System: Click here.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the power switch on.

      2. Turn the front seat assembly heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the front seat assembly surface becomes warm.

  8. INSTALL REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

  13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
