FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A005002

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Driver Side)


    1. A004VWZ

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the No. 2 front seat wire.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A004W9N

      Engage the clamp to install the No. 2 front seat wire.

    2. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Driver Side)


    1. A004XYA

      Engage the 5 clamps to install the front seat wire.

    2. Connect the 5 connectors.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

      Engage the 4 clamps to install the front seat wire.

    2. Connect the 3 connectors.

  6. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. A00501A

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side)

  8. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. A004WTD

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

  9. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)


    1. A004XS5

      Engage the clip.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)


    1. A004WXJ

      Engage the clip.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

  12. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. A004Y72

      Engage the guide to install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  13. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Engage the guide to install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Clean the installation surface of the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

      *1 Double-sided Tape

      Remove the 4 pieces of release paper, and install the front seatback cover with the 4 pieces of double-sided tape.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Clean the installation surface of the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

      *1 Double-sided Tape

      Remove the 3 pieces of release paper, and install the front seat cushion cover with the 3 pieces of double-sided tape.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

      Attach the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover to the front seatback spring assembly in the order indicated in the illustration.

    3. Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      CAUTION:


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the separate type front seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    4. A004Y8T

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    5. A004ZJN

      Engage the fastener.

    6. A004XXA

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    7. A004ZRY

      Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    8. A004YL6

      Engage the 2 fasteners.

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Using hog ring pliers, install 21 new hog rings.

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    2. A004Z7V

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Engage each hook.

    2. A004VH1

      Engage the 4 hooks.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A004YER

        Engage the 3 clamps to connect the seat heater wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

        Engage the clamp to connect the seat heater wire harness.

      4. Connect the connector.

    4. B001MN3

      Engage the fastener to secure the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A004YI9

      Engage the 4 claws to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  22. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH (for Driver Side)

      Engage the 4 claws to install the lumbar switch.

  23. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH

      Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)


    1. w/o Seat Position Memory System:

        *1 Wire Harness Cover

        Connect the connector.

    2. w/ Seat Position Memory System:


      1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps.

    4. Connect the wire harness to the wire harness cover.

    5. Engage the 2 claws to close the wire harness cover.

      Engage the clip and guide (2).

    7. Engage the guide (1) and 8 claws to install the front seat cushion shield.

      Connect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)

  26. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Install the clip.

      Engage the 2 guides and claw as shown in the illustration.

    3. A004XXV

      Engage the guide as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield with the screw.

  27. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A004YOG

      Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  28. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A004ZUN

      Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  29. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Install the seat adjuster cover cap.

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
