LIGHTING SYSTEM Overhead Console Illumination Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the center console spot light.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Check that the center console spot lights come on.

      Center console spot lights come on.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOME CUT RELAY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T6-21 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off, battery saving function not operating 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the map light assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the map light assembly Click here.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY))


    1. Disconnect the H18 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T6-6 (ILLB) - H18-2 (CSPT) Always Below 1 Ω
      T6-6 (ILLB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T6-5 (ILLB) - H18-6 (OSPT) Always Below 1 Ω
      T6-5 (ILLB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
