LIGHTING SYSTEM Interior Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the front interior lights and rear interior light.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Check that the lights operate.

      Main Body
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Illuminated Entry System Turns on the lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system*1 ON/OFF Map light switch LH and RH off (not pushed), interior light door switch DOOR position and all doors closed

      • *1: Refer to System Description for the lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system.

      OK
      All lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system come on.

  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the map light assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the map light assembly Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T6-1 (CTY) - 2B-27 Always Below 1 Ω
      T6-1 (CTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
