PUSH-BUTTON START SYSTEM Warning Buzzer does not Sound

DESCRIPTION

The push-button start system uses the buzzer in the combination meter assembly (meter ECU) to perform various vehicle interior warnings. When the conditions of each warning are met, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) sends a buzzer activation request signal to the combination meter assembly (meter ECU) via CAN communication and the buzzer sounds.

  • The push-button start system uses multiplex communication. First perform the inspections in "How to Proceed with Troubleshooting" to confirm that there are no communication malfunctions before proceeding with troubleshooting Click here

  • When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), registration must be performed refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)


    1. When the power switch is on (READY) and reverse (R) is selected, check that the combination meter buzzer sounds.
