POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   CAUTION:

   Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

   Note

   After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

   Click here

3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

   Click here

4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

   Click here

5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

   Click here

6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

   Click here

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

8. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for LHD)

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for LHD)

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side Click here.

10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for LHD)

11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (for LHD)

12. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

13. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

14. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

15. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for LHD)

    
    

    1. 

       Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and ECU integration box RH.

16. REMOVE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (for LHD)

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws and remove the power management control ECU as shown in the illustration.

17. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for RHD)

18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for RHD)

19. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for RHD)

20. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH (for RHD)

21. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

22. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

23. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

24. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX LH (for RHD)

    
    

    1. 

       Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the bolt, nut and ECU integration box LH.

25. REMOVE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (for RHD)

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws and remove the power management control ECU as shown in the illustration.
