PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise 1 / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH


    1. Remove the cruise control main switch.

  3. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H30 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H4 power management control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H30-7 (CCS) - H4-22 (CCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-7 (CCS) or H4-22 (CCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
