ENGINE UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL VENTILATION HOSE


    1. Install the ventilation hose to the ventilation valve.

  3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD

  4. INSTALL MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  6. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

    Click here

  8. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. INSTALL FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE


    1. Install the fuel vapor feed pipe with the bolt.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

  11. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE (w/o EGR System)


    1. Install the water by-pass pipe with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses.

  12. INSTALL EGR WITH COOLER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ EGR System)

  13. INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY (w/ EGR System)

  14. INSTALL EGR PIPE ASSEMBLY (w/ EGR System)

  15. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE


    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring.

    2. Install a new O-ring to the engine oil level dipstick guide.

    3. A004YZ0E02

      Install the engine oil level dipstick guide with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      28 N*m  { 286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the clamp to the engine oil level dipstick guide.

    5. Install the oil dipstick.

  16. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  17. INSTALL ENGINE HANGERS


    1. B001LOE

      Install the No. 1 and No. 2engine hangers with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

  18. REMOVE ENGINE STAND


    1. Remove the engine from the engine stand.
