FRAME WIRE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

  3. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/o Woofer)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Woofer)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Woofer)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FXE)

  9. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 5ZR-FXE)

  10. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

  11. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (w/ Cover)

      Remove the clip (A) and bolt.

    2. Disengage the 3 clips (B) to remove the front floor cover RH.

  12. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH (w/ Cover)

      Disengage the 3 clips to remove the front center floor cover RH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR RH


    1. Using a transmission jack, hold the front suspension cross member.

      Note

      Be sure to position the transmission jack to properly support the front suspension cross member.

      Remove the clip.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and front suspension member brace rear RH.

  24. REMOVE UPPER HYBRID BATTERY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  25. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Remove the terminal cover.

      Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the frame wire from the auxiliary battery terminal.

      *a Earth Terminal

      Disengage the clamp.

    5. Remove the bolt and disconnect the earth terminal.

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    7. B001KUZ

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

  26. DISCONNECT HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    Note

    Insulate the disconnected terminals with insulating tape.

      Disengage the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the earth terminal.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the frame wire from the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

  27. SEPARATE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FXE)

  29. REMOVE FRAME WIRE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

      Disengage the clamp to remove the wire harness protector from the floor panel.

    2. B001KAV

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. B001L48

      Disengage the 3 claws and push out the frame wire from the floor panel.

    4. B001MBJ

      Disconnect the engine room junction block assembly connector.

    5. B001LTW

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    6. B001KI8

      Disengage the clamp.

    7. B001K8B

      Disengage the clamp.

    8. B001MX2

      Remove the nut and separate the heater water pipe sub-assembly.

      *2 for LHD:

      Remove the nut.

    10. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      Remove the nut.

    12. Disengage the clamp.

      Remove the nut.

    14. Remove the 4 clamps and frame wire.

      The clamps are non-reusable parts.
