THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B001MAA

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. B001MQD

      Disconnect the water hose from the clamp.

    3. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE WATER HOSE HOSE CLAMP

      Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the water hose hose clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 clips and water hose hose clamp.

  6. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the wire harness clamp from the inlet air cleaner assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts from the inlet air cleaner assembly.

    3. Remove the inlet air cleaner assembly from the air cleaner case.

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE


    1. Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly from the air cleaner case.

      Disconnect the water hose from the clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner case.

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY


    1. B001LVX

      Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body assembly.

  9. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Type A:


      1. B001LWN

        Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

      2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.

      3. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

      4. B001LSV

        Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

    2. Type B:


      1. B001M56

        Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

      2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.

      3. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

      4. B001MV1

        Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
