  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND))


    1. Disconnect the H157 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H145 telematics transceiver connector.

    3. Disconnect the I5 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.

    4. Disconnect the I6 front No. 3 speaker assembly LH connector.

    5. Disconnect the J1 and K1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    6. Disconnect the I2 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

    7. Disconnect the L4 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    8. Disconnect the P15 No. 1 speaker assembly with box connector.

    9. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    5. Disconnect the I2 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

    6. Disconnect the L4 and M4 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    7. Disconnect the P15 No. 1 speaker assembly with box connector.

    8. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 3 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 3 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.
