REAR SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  • If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly Click here.

      Tech Tips


      • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      • If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  2. CONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE


    1. Connect the rear speed sensor wire connector to the rear speed sensor.

  3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS

  4. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC

  6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

  7. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR

  9. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

  10. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE

  11. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH (for LHD)

    Click here

  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for LHD)

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  15. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  16. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  17. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
  18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.


    2. Connect the reservoir level switch connector.

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

  19. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
