DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver receives a defect, high temperature or low voltage signal from the mayday battery or does not receive any signals during mayday battery self-diagnosis, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK

    END (MAYDAY BATTERY WAS DEFECTIVE)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAYDAY BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the H145 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the H146 mayday battery connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H145-30 (BBI+) - H146-1 (BBO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-13 (BBI-) - H146-5 (BBO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-20 (CTR1) - H146-3 (BTR1) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-21 (CTR2) - H146-4 (BTR2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-30 (BBI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H145-13 (BBI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H145-20 (CTR1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H145-21 (CTR2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE MAYDAY BATTERY


    1. Replace the mayday battery with a new one Click here.
