SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the bracket's claw and remove the bracket.

    2. A00198W

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Rearward

      Remove the 2 screws and sliding roof piece LH and RH.

    2. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Rearward

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws. Then slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

      Remove the 2 screws and 2 stoppers.

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.

      Tech Tips


      • Hold the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly down until the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly becomes disengaged from the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Holder

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 pins. Then remove the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      Lift the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly to remove it from the holder.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
