METER / GAUGE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. INSPECT INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      Brake hold standby indicator light
      Brake hold operated indicator light

      • *2: w/ Pre-crash Safety System

      • *3: w/ Tire Pressure Warning System

  2. INSPECT SPEEDOMETER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3 connector.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

      If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires, as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    5. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    6. INSPECT TACHOMETER


      1. Connect a tune-up tachometer, and start the engine.

      2. Compare the test results with the tachometer indicator.

    7. If the result is not as specified, the tachometer may have a malfunction.

    8. INSPECT METER/GAUGE


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    9. INSPECT WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHT


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    10. INSPECT MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    11. INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING


      1. Disconnect the connector from the engine oil pressure switch.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Ground the terminal of the wire harness side connector for 10 seconds or more, and then check the low oil pressure warning light.

    12. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL WARNING


      1. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector for 40 seconds or more.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and check the multi-information display.
