POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Only Driver Door LOCK / UNLOCK Functions do not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The front door ECU (for driver side) receives lock/unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor according to these signals.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (FRONT DOOR LOCK)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check the door lock motor function.

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)


    1. Use the Data List to check if the door lock position switch is functioning properly.

  3. CHECK FRONT DOOR ECU (OPERATION) (for Driver Side)


    1. Replace the front door ECU (for driver side) with a normal one Click here.

    2. Check that all doors can be locked and unlocked by using the master switch.

  4. INSPECT FUSE (D DOOR 1, D DOOR 2)


    1. Remove the D DOOR 1 and D DOOR 2 fuses from the main body ECU.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR ECU - BATTERY) (for Driver Side)

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
