PROCEDURE


  1. CUSTOMIZE LIGHTING SYSTEM

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.


    1. Customizing with the GTS.


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Utility / Customize / (desired system).

      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        AFS (w/o Adaptive High Beam System)

        AFS Function ON This function controls the AFS. ON / OFF
        AHS (w/ Adaptive High Beam System)

        AHS Function ON Function to turn the adaptive high beam system on and off. Operates as the automatic high beam system when turned off. ON / OFF

        Operation sensitivity of adaptive high beam system


        • Pattern 1: Normal operation

        • Pattern 2: Relaxes adaptive high beam system operation on winding roads such as mountain road

        • Pattern 3: Sets low vehicle speed at which adaptive high beam system begins to operate*1

        • Pattern 4: Sets low vehicle speed at which adaptive high beam system begins to operate and relaxes adaptive high beam system operation on winding roads such as mountain road*1

        Light up Clearance Lights at Door Unlock Function ON A function that turns on the clearance lights, taillights, and license plate lights for 15 seconds when the doors are unlocked by an entry unlock operation or wireless unlock operation. ON / OFF

        When the setting is closer to the "Light" side, the system dims the indicator lights even when the surrounding area is relatively bright. When the setting is closer to the "Dark" side, the system waits until the surrounding area is darker before dimming the indicator lights.

        When the setting is closer to the "Dark" side, the system cancels the dimming of the indicator lights even when the surrounding area is relatively dark. When the setting is closer to the "Light" side, the system waits until the surrounding area is brighter before canceling the dimming of the indicator lights.

        When the setting is closer to the "Light" side, the system turns the lights on even when the surrounding area is relatively bright. When the setting is closer to the "Dark" side, the system waits until the surrounding area is darker before turning on the lights.

    2. Door Linked Map Light and Personal Light Illumination Control

      Mode 1: When door is opened, map light of opened door illuminates, or personal light illuminates

      Mode 2: When door is opened, all map lights and personal lights illuminate

      Mode 3: Map lights and personal lights are not linked to doors


      1. To change modes, press the map light assembly DOOR and ON switch simultaneously, and then turn the engine switch from off to on (IG). Each engine switch off to on (IG) operation will change the mode (Mode 1 → Mode 2 → Mode 3 → Mode 1).

        Tech Tips

        After changing modes, the map light responds by blinking as follows: Mode 1: once; Mode 2: twice; Mode 3: three times.

    3. Customizing Function with Multi-display

      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Enter the following menus: Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle settings / Vehicle customization / Lights settings.

      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

Function to continue illuminating headlights for a certain period of time after closing driver door with the engine switch turned from on (IG) to off under the condition that the headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position with the headlights on. Off, 30 sec., 60 sec. or 90 sec.
        Interior lights off timer 15 sec. This function controls the interior lights. Off, 7.5 sec., 15 sec. or 30 sec.
        Exterior lights off timer 15 sec. This function controls the exterior lights. Off, 7.5 sec., 15 sec. or 30 sec.
