PROCEDURE


  1. CUSTOMIZE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Security or Wireless Door Lock.

    5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

      Warning by Horn*1 ON Function that allows vehicle horns and theft deterrent horn to be used as warning device. ON / OFF Certification ECU
      Intrusion Sensor Sensitivity Level*2 N+Sound

      Sets the sensor sensitivity for operating the alarm when an intrusion is detected.


      • Normal: Use this setting when the customer wants to detect moving objects regardless of whether glass is broken or not.

      • Low: Use this setting when the customer wants the sensitivity to be low. This setting is effective for normal use, but the alarm still operates when a person, pet, etc. is inside of the vehicle when the alarm is set.

      Note

      Using any settings other than N+Sound, Normal and Low is prohibited.

      Highest / High / Normal / N+Sound / Low / Lowest
      Intrusion Win Opened OFF Sets the sensitivity of the intrusion sensor when the windows are opened. ON / OFF
