DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in communication between itself and the center airbag sensor assembly as a result of a self check, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check if airbag system DTCs are output.

    1. Disconnect the L181 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the L73 center airbag sensor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L181-24 (GSW) - L73-24 (GSW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      L181-24 (GSW) or L73-24 (GSW3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
