This is the mute signal circuit between the disc player assembly and television display assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MUTE SIGNAL CIRCUIT

      Remove the television display assembly connector still connected.


    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      for Roof
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z24-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Disc player assembly playing → Source changed Higher than 3.5 V → Below 1 V
      for Center Console Side
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R87-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Disc player assembly playing → Source changed Higher than 3.5 V → Below 1 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    • *1: for 4-passenger with Ottoman

    • *2: except 4-passenger with Ottoman


    1. for Roof:


      1. Disconnect the z24 television display assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the z17*1 or Z90*2 disc player assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        for 4-passenger with Ottoman
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z24-26 (MUT2) - z17-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
        z24-26 (MUT2) or z17-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        except 4-passenger with Ottoman
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z24-26 (MUT2) - R90-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
        z24-26 (MUT2) or R90-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for Center Console Side:


      1. Disconnect the R87 television display assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the z17*1 or Z90*2 disc player assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        for 4-passenger with Ottoman
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        R87-26 (MUT2) - z17-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
        R87-26 (MUT2) or z17-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        except 4-passenger with Ottoman

    1. Replace the disc player assembly with a new or known good one.


    2. Check that the mute signal circuit functioning normally.
