Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the LH and RH sides.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
Note
Do not remove the disc brake piston and piston seal from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Place one side of the disc brake pad and a wooden plate between the disc brake pistons of the disc brake cylinder assembly.
| *1 | 12 mm |
Using compressed air, gradually push the disc brake piston out slightly from the cylinder.
Note
Do not push the disc brake piston out more than 12 mm (0.472 in.) from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.

Using a screwdriver, separate the cylinder boot from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Be careful not to damage the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Remove the cylinder boot from the front disc brake piston.
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for all cylinder boots.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the front disc brake bleeder plug from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
