BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER(for LHD) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR TUBE

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake stroke simulator tube from the brake master cylinder with simulator.

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER BRACKET

      Remove the 2 nuts (labeled A), brake master cylinder bracket (labeled B) and brake master cylinder gasket (labeled C).

  3. REMOVE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A001FPXE01

      Remove the 2 bolts (labeled A), brake stroke simulator bracket (labeled B), brake master cylinder gasket (labeled C) and brake stroke simulator cylinder (labeled D).

  4. REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. A001EN7

      Remove the push rod clevis and lock nut.

      Tech Tips

      If the protrusion of the push rod in relation to the push rod clevis is measured beforehand, it is easier to perform the brake pedal height adjustment after the brake master cylinder with simulator is installed.

  5. DISASSEMBLE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw and brake master cylinder reservoir.

    2. A001BM1

      Remove the 2 reservoir grommets from the brake master cylinder.
