FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER(for 2WD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A001B0Z

      Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle. Then temporarily install the front No. 2 suspension lower arm LH with the nut.

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the nut after the vehicle is stabilized.

  2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A001DZE

      Insert the bolt from the back of the vehicle. Temporarily install the front No. 1 suspension lower arm LH with the nut.

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the nut after the vehicle is stabilized.

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front engine mounting insulator is necessary.


    1. Install the 2 front engine mounting insulators with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING SPACER


    1. Install the 2 engine mounting spacers.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

  9. STABILIZE SUSPENSION (w/o Air Suspension)

  11. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Tighten the installation nut of the front No. 2 suspension lower arm assembly LH.

      Torque:
      145 N*m  { 1479 kgf*cm, 107 ft.*lbf }

  12. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Tighten the installation nut of the front No. 1 suspension upper arm assembly LH.

      Torque:
      145 N*m  { 1479 kgf*cm, 107 ft.*lbf }

  14. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
