ENGINE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

   
   

   1. 

      Using a precision straightedge and feeler gauge, measure the warpage of the contact surface of the cylinder head.

      Maximum warpage
      0.7 mm (0.0276 in.)

      If the warpage is more than the maximum, replace the exhaust manifold sub-assembly.

2. INSPECT EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)

   
   

   1. 

      Using a precision straightedge and feeler gauge, measure the warpage of the contact surface of the cylinder head.

      Maximum warpage
      0.7 mm (0.0276 in.)

      If the warpage is more than the maximum, replace the exhaust manifold sub-assembly.
