FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  2. LOOSEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      Put matchmarks on the transfer companion flange and front propeller shaft.

    2. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft.

      Put matchmarks on the front differential companion flange and front propeller shaft.

    4. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER


    1. A001DCJ

      Support the automatic transmission assembly with a transmission jack.

      Note

      Keep the transmission jack level with the weight properly supported.

    2. A001D3U

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. A001FAO

      Remove the 5 nuts and rear No. 3 engine mounting insulator, and remove the rear engine mounting member from the automatic transmission assembly.

  4. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 12 bolts, 4 universal joint washers and front propeller shaft assembly.

      Note

      Do not bend the front propeller shaft at an excessive angle.
