WATER PUMP INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A001FQKE03

      Install the engine water pump and gasket with the 9 bolts as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt A
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      47 N*m  { 479 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt C

  2. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY


    1. A001AIDE03

      Temporarily install the pulley with the 4 bolts.

    2. Using SST, hold the pulley and tighten the 4 bolts.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )
      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING


    1. A001BXB

      Install a new gasket to the water pump.

    2. Install the water inlet housing with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      *1 Right Side of Engine

      Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  5. CONNECT WATER INLET HOSE


    1. A001BLEE01
      *1 Right Side of Engine

      Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the water inlet hose.

  6. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      *1 Right Side of Engine

      Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  8. CONNECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for 2WD)


    1. A001BOT

      Connect the dipstick guide with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

  10. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

  12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  13. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  15. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  17. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  19. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for AWD)

  20. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for AWD)
