  1. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE


    1. READ DATA LIST


      1. Warm up the engine.

      2. Turn the ignition switch off.

      3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      4. Turn the ignition switch on.

      5. Turn the GTS on.

      6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

      7. Read the Data List.

        Tester Display Measurement Item/Range (Display) Normal Conditions
        Common Rail Pressure Fuel pressure/ Min.: 0 MPa, Max.: 655.350 MPa 25 to 35 MPa: Idling
        Target Common Rail Pressure Target common rail pressure/ Min.: 0 kPa, Max.: 655350 kPa 20 to 160 MPa

  2. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS


    1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch on.

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test.

      5. Perform the Active Test.

        Tester Display Test Details Control Range Diagnostic Notes
        Test the Fuel Leak Pressurizes common rail internal fuel pressure, and checks for fuel leaks Stop/Start

        • Fuel pressure inside common rail pressurized to specified value and engine speed increased to 2,000 rpm when ON is selected

        • Above conditions preserved while test is ON
