REAR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. A003GYM

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE


    1. A003G9YE01

      Detach the 7 clips and 4 claws and remove the back door scuff plate.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

  4. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY REAR LH


    1. A003FWR

      Detach the 35 clips and remove the quarter trim panel assembly rear LH.

  5. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. A003HO0E02

      Detach the 6 clips and remove the quarter pillar garnish LH.

  6. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER UPPER LH


    1. A003FGT

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 clips and remove the roof side garnish inner upper LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE EMERGENCY HAMMER CAUTION PLATE (w/ Emergency Hammer Caution Plate)

    Tech Tips


    • If a emergency hammer caution plate is damaged, replace it with a new one.

    • Only for the RH side.


    1. Remove the emergency hammer caution plate.

  8. REMOVE REAR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS


    1. Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.

    2. From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and rear quarter window glass as shown in the illustration.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.

      Note

      When separating the rear quarter window glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicles paint or interior/exterior ornaments.

    4. Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the rear quarter window glass.

    5. Using a suction cup, remove the rear quarter window glass.

      Note

      Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the rear quarter window glass.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SIDE WINDOW ADHESIVE DAM LH


    1. Using a scraper, remove the No. 1 rear side window adhesive dam LH.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the No. 1 rear side window adhesive dam LH.

      • Be sure to replace the No. 1 rear side window adhesive dam LH with a new one.

  10. REMOVE REAR SIDE WINDOW SEAL SET PLATE LH (w/ Window Seal Set Plate)

      Using a scraper, remove the rear side window seal set plate LH.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear side window assembly LH.

      • Be sure to replace the rear side window seal set plate LH with a new one.
