REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY


    1. A003HZWE02

      Disconnect the u3 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Reconnect the u3 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    5. Using an oscilloscope, check waveform.

      The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the television camera assembly.

      Condition

      • Waveform A: Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R (camera lens is not covered, displaying an image).

      • Waveform B: Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R (camera lens is covered, blacking out the screen).

  2. CHECK TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. A003B5UE01

      Disconnect the a5 television camera assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      a5-5 (CGND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      a5-6 (CB+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power source Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 5.5 to 7.05 V

    3. Reconnect the a5 television camera assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the rear view mirror assembly with the connector connected. If the result is not as specified, the television camera assembly may have a malfunction.

      Tech Tips
