POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Driver Side Door Lock Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU) receives the driver door lock/unlock request signal from the door control switch or door key cylinder. The instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU) actives the door lock motor on front door lock assembly according to the signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR LOCK MOTOR)


    1. Remove the front door lock assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the front door lock assembly Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY [BODY ECU] - FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 13B instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the L1*1 or K1*2 front door lock assembly connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      13B-17 (ACT+) - L1-4 (L) Always Below 1 Ω
      13B-35 (ACT-) - L1-1 (UL) Always Below 1 Ω
      13B-17 (ACT+) or L1-4 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      13B-35 (ACT-) or L1-1 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      13B-17 (ACT+) - K1-4 (L) Always Below 1 Ω
      13B-35 (ACT-) - K1-1 (UL) Always Below 1 Ω
      13B-17 (ACT+) or K1-4 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      13B-35 (ACT-) or K1-1 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
