CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

      Note

      After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

      Using SST, install the center airbag sensor with the 3 bolts.

      SST
      09249-63010
      Torque:
      17.5 N*m  { 179 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    4. Push the connector lever into the airbag sensor assembly center to connect and lock the airbag connector.

      Note

      Make sure that the connector is securely locked.

    5. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the center airbag sensor.

    6. Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.

  2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 1


    1. Attach the 3 claws to instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No. 1.

    2. Install the the 2 clips.

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

  4. INSPECT SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
