AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT PRESSURE SENSOR


    1. Install the manifold gauge set.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Operate the air conditioning system.

    4. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector.

    5. Connect the positive (+) lead from three 1.5 V dry cell batteries to terminal 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

      Check the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 of the pressure sensor.

      Standard voltage
      The voltage varies with the refrigerant pressure as shown in the chart.

      If the voltage value is not as specified, replace the pressure sensor.
