POWER STEERING PIPING PRECAUTION

Note


  • Remove any dirt or mud from piping with water to prevent it from entering the inside of the piping when removing, installing, or disassembling parts.

  • Keep removed or disassembled parts in order and prevent any dirt from attaching to them.

  • When removing, installing, or replacing piping or a clip, be sure not to allow it to come into contact with other parts.

  • Install the piping without twisting or forcibly bending.

  • After disconnecting the piping, do not start the engine until bleeding of the power steering system has been completed.

  • After connecting the piping, wipe any fluid from each part to check for fluid leaks.

  • Use Toyota genuine power steering fluid, ATF DEXRON II or III, or equivalent.
