  1. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSION

    The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

    Expression Ignition Switch (Position) Engine Switch (Condition)
    Ignition Switch off LOCK Off (Lock)
    Ignition Switch ACC ACC On (ACC)
    Ignition Switch ON ON On (IG)
    Engine Start START On (Start)

  3. PRECAUTIONS FOR REMOVAL, INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT OF POWER STEERING COMPONENTS


    1. Be sure to align the front wheels straight ahead when removing and installing the power steering link assembly, steering bevel gear assembly, or the steering torque shaft assembly.

    2. Be sure to put matchmarks on each part before disconnecting the following:


      1. Steering intermediate shaft assembly No.2 and steering intermediate shaft assembly

      2. Steering intermediate shaft assembly and steering bevel gear assembly

      3. Steering bevel gear assembly and steering torque shaft assembly

      4. Steering torque shaft assembly and power steering link assembly
