5L-E VACUUM PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP PULLEY

      Using soft jaws, place vacuum pump in a vise, and remove the pulley lock nut and pulley.

  2. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP VACUUM HOSE UNION

      Using SST, hold the check valve assembly, and remove the union bolt, vacuum hose union and 2 gaskets.

  3. REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A003CC3

      Remove the check valve assembly and gasket.

  4. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP END COVER


    1. A003FT1

      Remove the 4 screws and the end cover.

  5. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP SHAFT


    1. A003ICF

      Using a plastic hammer, tap out the vacuum pump shaft with bearing.

  6. REMOVE STOP RING


    1. Remove the stop ring from the vacuum pump shaft.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BEARING


    1. A003IAH

      Using a press, remove the bearing from the rotor shaft.

  8. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BLADE A


    1. A003AS7

      Remove the 2 screws and the end plate.

    2. Remove the rotor and the 5 pump blades.

  9. REMOVE O-RING


    1. Remove the O-ring from the casing.

  10. REMOVE OIL SEAL


    1. A003ES1

      Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal.
