DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
If any of the following is detected, the brake warning light remains on:
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector is disconnected from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).
The brake fluid level is insufficient.
EBD operation is not possible.
The vacuum inside the brake booster decreases.
The parking brake is applied

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information Click here.
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turn the ignition switch off.

Remove the reservoir filler cap and strainer.
Disconnect the A10 brake fluid level warning switch (brake master cylinder sub-assembly) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Tech Tips
A float is located inside the reservoir. Its position can be changed by increasing or decreasing the level of brake fluid.

READ VALUE USING GTS (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT)
Reinstall the reservoir filler cap and strainer.
Reconnect the H20 combination meter assembly connector, A43 vacuum warning switch assembly connector*, A10 brake fluid level warning switch (brake master cylinder sub-assembly) connector, B3 parking brake switch assembly connector and B92 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
*: for 1KD and 2KD-FTV
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.
According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
