VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1210, C1336

DTC Code DTC Name
C1210 Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone
C1336 Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via the CAN communication system.

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor. If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) and the CAN communication system, the DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is output.

The DTCs are also output when the calibration has not been completed.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1210 Zero point calibration of yaw rate sensor undone.
  • Sensor installation

  • Yaw rate sensor (Airbag sensor assembly)

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

C1336 Zero point calibration of acceleration sensor undone.
  • Sensor installation

  • Acceleration sensor (Airbag sensor assembly)

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) or yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information Click here.

Tech Tips

When U0124 and/or U0126 is output along with C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0124 and/or U0126 first Click here.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR

    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor Click here.

    NEXT
  2. PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Using the GTS, perform a Test Mode (signal check) inspection sensor check and check that all Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete Click here.

      OK
All Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

      Tech Tips

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step Click here.

    OK
  3. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Check that the airbag sensor assembly has been installed properly Click here.

      OK
The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.
The sensor is not installed in a tilted position.

  4. READ VALUE USING GTS (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

    4. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
