REAR LEAF SPRING REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE SPARE TIRE

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  3. SEPARATE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET NO.3

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the cable support bracket No.3.

  4. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

      Support the rear axle housing assembly with a jack using a wooden block to avoid damage.

    2. A003CBEE01

      Remove the bolt and separate the rear shock absorber assembly.

    3. Remove the cushion washer No.4.

  5. REMOVE SPRING U-BOLT SEAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 nuts, 4 washers, 2 rear spring U-bolts and spring U-bolt seat sub-assembly.

  6. LOOSEN REAR LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Loosen the nut.

      Note

      Do not remove the loosened bolt and nut.

  7. REMOVE REAR LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the bolt and leaf spring dynamic damper. (w/ dynamic damper type)

    2. Remove the nut, 2 bolts, shackle plate, and spring shackle.

      Note

      Do not forcibly remove the rear leaf spring assembly to avoid damage by the serrated areas at both ends of the collar of the shackle upper bushing and the rear spring leaf bushing.

      Remove the bolt, nut and rear leaf spring assembly.

      Note

      Be sure to remove the right and left rear leaf spring assemblies separately to enable the rear axle housing to be supported. Do not remove at the same time.

  8. REMOVE REAR SPRING SHACKLE UPPER BUSHING


    1. A003H09E01

      Using a brass bar and a hammer, remove the collar.

    2. Remove the 2 rear spring shackle upper bushings.
