FRONT STRUT BAR INSTALLATION


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT STRUT BAR


    1. A003FZKE01

      Measure the length of the A and note it down.

      Tech Tips

      If using a new strut bar, set the rear side nut to the standard length.

    2. A003IDAE01

      Install the tube, strut bar cushion, strut bar retainer and washer to the strut bar and temporarily tighten the nut.

      Note

      Do not place the strut bar retainer and strut bar cushion in the wrong directions.

    3. A003DSKE01

      Install the strut bar to the front lower ball joint with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      90 N*m  { 918 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf }

    4. Temporally install the strut bar lock nut.

  2. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    100 N*m  { 1,020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf }

  3. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  4. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT STRUT BAR


    1. A003GK4E02

      Tighten the nut so that the protrusion length of the thread of the front strut bar equals the length of dimension A measured before removal.

    2. A003F4BE01

      Using SST, fully tighten the strut bar lock nut (rear side).

      Torque:
      138 N*m  { 1,410 kgf*cm, 102 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
