CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the 4 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower.

    3. Disconnect each connector.

      Push the positions indicated by the arrows in the illustration to disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable and bonnet (hood) control cable assembly from the instrument panel finish lower.

  3. REMOVE NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips

    2. Detach the 3 claws and remove the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No. 1.

  4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER

      Detach the 6 claws and remove the parking brake hole cover.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB

      Turn the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  6. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY

      for Manual Transmission:

      Detach the 6 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

    2. for Automatic Transmission:

      Detach the 8 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER

      Detach the 8 claws and remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.

  8. REMOVE WASHER TANK AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Disconnect the connector from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

    3. Detach the hose clamp.

    4. w/ Rear Wiper:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and 2 washer hoses.

    5. w/o Rear Wiper:

      Disconnect the connector and washer hose.

  9. REMOVE NO.1 AIR DUCT (for RHD)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Release the 2 claws and remove the air duct No.1.

  10. SEPARATE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts and separate the clutch master cylinder from the clutch pedal support.

  11. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Clutch Pedal Switch Assembly:

      Disconnect the clutch switch connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. A003HDM

      Push the push rod clevis upward and release it toward the right side of the vehicle.

    3. A003DJA

      Remove the bolt and clutch pedal support.

  12. REMOVE CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Clutch Pedal Switch Assembly)


    1. Disconnect the clutch switch connector.

    2. A003BWD

      Remove the clutch switch assembly.

  13. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT (w/o Clutch Pedal Switch Assembly)

      Loosen the lock nut and remove the clutch pedal stopper bolt together with the nut from the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING (for 2KD-FTV)

      Using a screwdriver, remove the E-ring.

    2. Remove the clutch pedal spring.

  15. REMOVE TURN OVER SPRING SEAT COMPRESSION SPRING

      Mount the clutch pedal in a soft jaw vise.

    2. While the clutch pedal is fully depressed, remove the turnover spring seat compression spring.

  16. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Put matchmarks on the clutch pedal support.

    2. Remove the pedal shaft, nut, washer, and clutch pedal from the clutch pedal support.

  17. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SHAFT COLLAR

      *2 Clutch Pedal Shaft Collar

      Remove the 2 clutch pedal bushings and clutch pedal shaft collar from the clutch pedal.

  18. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL NO.1 CUSHION

      Remove the clutch pedal No.1 cushion.

  19. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL PAD


    1. Remove the clutch pedal pad from the clutch pedal.

  20. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING HOLDER

      Remove the clutch pedal spring holder from the clutch pedal support.
