REMOVE REAR PLANETARY GEAR ASSEMBLY
Remove the output shaft from the rear planetary gear.
REMOVE PLANETARY OUTPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL RING
Remove the oil seal ring from the output shaft.
REMOVE REAR PLANETARY RING GEAR
Remove the rear planetary gear from the rear planetary ring gear.
INSPECT 1 WAY CLUTCH NO.2
Hold the planetary gear and turn the one-way clutch inner race. Check that the one-way clutch inner race can be turned freely counterclockwise and locked clockwise.
REMOVE 1 WAY CLUTCH NO.2
Remove the one-way clutch inner race from the rear planetary gear.
Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.
Remove the No.2 one-way clutch with the retainers from the rear planetary gear.
REMOVE PLANETARY CARRIER THRUST WASHER NO.2
Remove the thrust washer No.2 from the rear planetary gear.
REMOVE PLANETARY CARRIER THRUST WASHER NO.1
Remove the thrust washer No.1 from the rear planetary gear.
REMOVE REAR PLANETARY FLANGE THRUST NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING
Remove the 2 races and the bearing from the rear planetary ring gear.
REMOVE REAR PLANETARY RING GEAR FLANGE
Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.
Remove the ring gear flange.
INSPECT PLANETARY PINION GEAR THRUST CLEARANCE
Using a feeler gauge, measure the planetary pinion gear thrust clearance.

| 0.65 mm (0.0256 in.) |
If the clearance is greater than the maximum, replace the planetary gear assembly.
