INSTALL 2ND COAST BRAKE PISTON
There are 2 different lengths for the piston rod.

When the piston rod stroke is outside the standard value even if the brake band works normally, replace the rod with a new one.
Install the retainer, the spring and the piston to the piston rod.
Firmly hold down the piston, then compress the compression spring.
Using needle-nose pliers, install the E-ring.
INSTALL 2ND COAST BRAKE PISTON OIL SEAL RING
Coat the oil seal ring with ATF.
Squeeze the ends of the oil seal ring together with the wrap distance 8 mm (0.31 in.) or less, and then install them to the starter shaft groove.
Note
Do not over-spread the ring ends.
