SUN GEAR AND ONE-WAY CLUTCH REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SUN GEAR INPUT DRUM SHAFT SNAP RING


    1. A003BQW

      Using a screwdriver, install the snap ring on the planetary sun gear.

  2. INSTALL SUN GEAR INPUT DRUM


    1. A003HMH

      Place a wooden block or similar object as a work stand and place the planetary sun gear onto it.

    2. Install the sun gear input drum onto the planetary sun gear.

      Using a snap ring expander, install the snap ring.

  3. INSTALL SUN GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL RING

      Coat the 2 oil seal rings with ATF.

    2. Install the 2 oil seal rings onto the planetary sun gear.

      Note

      Do not over-spread the ring ends.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  4. INSTALL ONE WAY CLUTCH THRUST WASHER NO.1

    Tech Tips

    Make sure that the lug shapes fit into the holes in the sun gear input drum.

  5. INSTALL ONE WAY CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

      Install the 1 way clutch assembly.

  6. INSPECT ONE WAY CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

      Hold the planetary sun gear, and turn the 1 way clutch assembly Check that the 1 way clutch assembly hub can be freely clockwise and locked counterclockwise.
